v2 merged after a speed pass
v2 got merged into main for Ultimate and Essential this month. The first few days went into performance work: React cache, cheaper RLS checks, lighter middleware and loading skeletons.
Onboarding works off auth.user now and creates three sample projects for new users. Pro got its own onboarding flow too.
#Performance
- React cache for data that gets read more than once per request
- RLS policies wrap auth.uid() in a select so Postgres runs it once per query
- Middleware improvements and skeleton loading states
- Removed the @react-email/tailwind and @react-email/components packages
- Added a debug mode
#Onboarding
- Onboarding reads from auth.user directly
- Three fake projects get created during onboarding
- Organizations and projects have slugs
- Pro got onboarding, plus a user profile fix
#Improvements
- Removed hard-coded colors and switched to the muted background in dark mode
- Tremor chart updates
- Cleaner types for Server Action payloads
- A Netlify config if you deploy there
- Image upload fix in Essential, plus docs and link updates on the website
