Admin panel previews and default organizations
November was mostly admin panel work in Ultimate. Users, organizations, blog posts and feedback all got preview views, and feedback moved to Server Actions.
Ultimate also picked up default organization logic and faster page loads. Pro and Essential got these changes near the end of the month, and October before that was mostly dark mode polish.
#Admin panel
Feedback was the first piece to move to Server Actions, on November 5. I spent the next two weeks on the rest of the admin panel. There was a round of feedback fixes on the 13th, and the preview views all landed on the 18th.
#Improvements
- Mutations use useToastMutation wherever possible, so success and error toasts behave the same across the app.
- Faster page loads. We removed the loading pages for now while we tune this.
- Updated sidebars and spacing, and the navbar no longer shows a spinner.
- Profile changes revalidate the page, so updates show up right away.
- Dark mode improvements in Pro and Essential, including the Pro landing pages.
#Pro and Essential
- Pro picked up the latest Ultimate changes and dropped a stack of unused files.
- Essential got the same port, plus updated RLS policies.
- Fixed migrations and a build error in Essential, and dynamic server usage errors in Pro.
