API keys and revocable invites in Ultimate
Ultimate now has API key auth. Users get a developer keys page where they create and manage keys, so scripts and other services can authenticate against your app.
You can also revoke invitations now. The rest of December was mostly cleanup in Ultimate, and on the website we ran an anniversary sale and wrote a lot of new docs.
#API key auth
API key auth landed in mid December, and the developer keys page got a styling pass a few days later. There's also a new feature page on the website about API key auth with Unkey.
#Improvements
- Email goes through one sendEmail function that wraps Resend, so there's a single place to change it.
- Errors that show up in a toast also get captured in Sentry, and the Sentry config was updated.
- Nicer mutation helpers for notifications, and an updated pagination component.
- Stripe is upgraded, and the first end-to-end tests are in.
- I deleted a big pile of unused files, leftover Tailwind bits and old admin clients.
#Fixes
- Fixed a hydration warning in the onboarding flow.
- A handful of small bug and lint fixes.
#Website and docs
- New docs for auth and enviroment variables, plus a production checklist.
- Docs pages have proper metadata now.
- An anniversary sale, and the pricing page now says taxes may apply.
- A new showcase page and a video testimonial.
- Updated how the GitHub repo invite goes out after a purchase.
- Refreshed blog layout.
